What happens when I am away!!!

I went to the Relief Society Birthday Dinner. So Josh had to fend for himself, I came home to find him cooking Ramen Noddles. It gets worse, he decided to experiment. He said he was trying to figure out ways to save us money on food (I told him I rather starve!), if we could find yummy ways to eat it then we could eat it more often and save more money. I tasted a couple after being forced to, I almost threw up! Then he made me watch him eat the rest, the smells and the look of it made me sick with out even tasting it. Here are some of the things he tried... honey mustard, jalapeno mustard, ranch, soy sauce, lemon juice, butter, salt, parmesain. These are just a few... Can you say YUCK!!!

Needless to say this is how it ended

A bowl of Raviloi
p.s. josh says he's open to sugestions if you have any...

That is hilarious! Who knew you could be so creative with ramen noodles? Glad you came to the dinner, it was so much fun!

HA HA HA!! I really dont know what to say to that. Tell him next time to cook the noodles and use the flavoring that they give you, ha ha ha ha!!!

That sounds so foul! Wow, that is just wrong. 1 part hoisen and 2 parts soy sauce is good if you mix it with steamed veggies and put it over the noodles. Sorry I got nothing else to make ramen better, that really is why they give you the little packet, it's pretty much they only thing they go with. Gross...

Simple... Josh, do what I did: learn how to cook!

Ok all you lame-os, have you never eaten the stuff in that little packet? The aftertaste lingers for days, I think that powder is 2 parts bouillon, 1 part granulated dog pooh sauce!

Someone, somewhere has to have a quick fix for Ramen, and I shall not rest until I find it! Or I just won't eat any more Ramen, ever! Whichever comes first.

Ryan, If I sign up as one of your cooking buddies, will you cook for me? :)

Seriously, If you had my wife cooking for you, you wouldn't bother to cook either. She's just that good.

I'll cook for you if you move to Florida! :)

How about this simple solution: Learn to cook at least one or two dishes. A nice pad thai (http://www.grouprecipes.com/58392/peanut-pad-thai.html) or lasagna (so easy it doesn't need a recipe) are easy and should hold you over until your super nice wife gets back in town.

Oh, and I do have a recipe for Ramen noodles: http://www.grouprecipes.com/58077/ramen-salad.html
You can throw the packages of seasoning away with that recipe. Basically you are just using the noodles, and you don't even have to cook them!! (Goes great with Chinese dishes.)

Is that a promise about cooking for me? Do you have any idea how much I eat? That could be a full time job, and I would take you up on it because I know your good a cook. (Who would have thought something as weird looking as hummus would taste good?) ((Of course I would have to bring a piece of meat to every meal and slather it on top :) ))

No, you are correct I need to learn a few dishes. I was actually a pretty good cook on the mission, but i've pretty well forgotten everything I used to cook. The only thing I make now is chicken wings (they are amazing, if I do say so myself) but Jess doesn't like chicken wings, so I can't cook that for her.

Wendy showed me how to make sushi, but Jess doesn't like that either, (but I love it) so I strike out there as well.

I really should learn a good lasagna or something. And that ramen noodle salad didn't look bad at all. Check back in a week, and scold me harshly if I haven't figured out how to cook something slightly more complicated than a pizza.

Sorry I'm picky, but the whole fish thing doesn't go well for me, it's more like whatever goes down, some how finds it's way back up
