6 Weeks

My little baby is 6 weeks old! Where does the time go? It has went by so fast, it was like one day we woke up and she just didn't look like a newborn anymore. She is getting bigger and bigger. We think she is about 9.5 lbs.

Two Weeks

Monday, Dec. 14 - Addy's umbilical cord feel off. It's so nice to have it gone.

Tuesday, Dec. 15 - Two Weeks Old! I can't believe it. She sleeps pretty well through the night. She goes down about 10:30 pm up at 2 am, then up at 5 am, then again at 8 am then were usually up for the day. We both had our check ups today.

My Doctor said my incision looked great, and I could take off the tape. And I'm down to my pre-pregnancy weight. Wahoo!

Addy is doing great too. She is now 7 lbs. 12 oz., still 20.5" long. She is in the 50% for her length and head circumference. Then 25% on her weight. The doctor said she looked great! They did her PKU it was so sad. She was asleep they poked her foot then was squeezing the blood. She was screaming and there was nothing I could do. I felt so helpless. I cried. It was so sad. I don't
know how I'm suppose to make it through shots in 6 weeks. I'm glad Josh was there. I had a hard time pulling my self together. I'm such a baby. She's such a good baby I'm not used to her crying at all. She'll wine everyonce in a while when she is really hungry or tired but that is it. She is really such a good baby.

Wednesday, Dec. 16 - Addy's first bath! She loved it, when we first put her in she was like what in the world is this. Then she just layed there relaxed sucking on her fist. It was good to be able to get her wet and not have to be careful with her little belly.

Where to Start

My baby is already more than a week old. And we are loving her. Although there have been quite a few adjustments that have had to been made. Friday Dec. 4th we were released from the hospital. It was exciting but scary to come home. It made me nervous not to have a nurse so close in case something happened. I found out that a ride down a bumpy road on the way home is very painful.

First time in the carseat

The first night was rough. Second night was better although Addyson had her first diaper blow out, and it took us both a good hour to get her cleaned up and back ready for bed. There was poop every where. This is what her daddy had to say

"First diaper blowout last night at 3 a.m. No one told me I would need a class 5 Hazmat suit to change a diaper. I thought about calling the fire department to hose her down." - Josh

She is now doing better although she does loves to be up at night still we can usually get her down at 1 am then she will just wake up every 3 hours to feed then go back to bed.

Monday, Dec. 7th Addy saw the Pediatrician for the first time she is now at 7 lbs. 7 oz.. So she has gained since we left the hospital and the doctor says she is doing great. Although I think she poops way to much, I think staying at home with a baby all I do all day is feed her, rock her, and change her pants. Oh well. I love her and she is worth every minuet of it.

Last night we found that Addy will not go to sleep at night unless she is swaddled in her certain brand of swaddling blankets we have swaddled her in since she came home. We found that out the hard way but it is a very nice thing to know, guess I better buy a couple more.

Josh has been so good to me helping me with everything I need. And he just loves his little girl. But I think he is having a hard time with the sleep deprivation.

Here is what Josh rigged up for me to get out of bed. I'm super impressed, and it works great!
